Singaporean deathcore veterans No Rest For The Weary return after a two year pandemic-induced hiatus with “Oathbreaker”, a brutal single with an infernal accompanying visual. With over ten years in the game, the quintet continue to break new ground by infusing their signature blast beats and slam breakdowns with orchestral flourishes and black metal riffing over the track’s 6-minute runtime. The result is an exhilarating listen that builds on the aggressive melodicism that the band experimented with on their previous LP, 2019's War Torn.

“In the mist the truth twists, the gears are set into place / Blinded with the illusion that your own mind created”, vocalist Aizuddin Ibrahim screams as bassist Khalid Noor compliments him with clean backing vocals on the soaring chorus. In the VERTA Collective-produced music video, the band gives a committed performance in front of fiendish ruins and frozen tundras as a devilish figure lurks behind them.
