Malaysian synth popper Froya has dropped a music video for “Creature”, the title track off her eponymous EP that dropped in December last year. The black-and-white video features dancer Lee Jia Xi channeling the track’s explorations of vulnerability and change through her graceful movements. “Live like a creature with senseless behaviour / Trying to be human / I’ll never have this emotion,” the singer-songwriter sings over gliding beats on the song’s contemplative refrain – the result is a track that feels ethereal yet hauntingly sincere.

The Creature EP was self recorded and produced in her apartment over the course of last year’s national Covid-19 lockdown in Malaysia. It follows a string of collaborations with artists such as Nude, Snowk, and Japan's city-pop savvy unit Tokimeki Records.
